Started going here off a recommendation of one of my friends who felt she was always treated with respect and quoted very fair service charges after a long string of being treated poorly as a woman seeking car care in the past. I’m so used to replacement being the only option recommended by past mechanics but Jessie and Josh always seem to be straight shooters and will work to help get repairs made when makes sense as to avoid costly replacement. "The high praise and great reviews here for Dynotech are well deserved. I have never had an experience with an auto shop anywhere close to the service and care I got here, and Jesse and his team went WAY above and beyond -- which, judging from the other reviews, seems to be their standard practice. The shop is tucked away near the railroad tracks away in the industrial part of the Midway, and you would never find out about this place by driving past it. It was almost a little worrying as we pulled into the parking lot, but pretty soon we noticed there were a lot of really cool (as in vintage, rare, and collectible) cars in the bay and around the parking lot, which I took to be a pretty good sign that people obviously must trust these folks quite a bit. Inside were some of the nicest and friendliest people I've encountered at any garage. They took care of the brake job (and a couple other issues we'd brought it in for), but as we were driving it home, the brakes were stuck on the whole way, making it difficult to even get up to a decent speed and there was smoke and a horrible burning smell coming from the wheels when we got it home. I called the shop and Jesse came out personally to the house, took a look at everything, and drove the car back to the shop himself. It was a Friday, so it was pretty obvious they'd need to keep the car over the weekend. Our other car didn't have a working AC and it was looking to be the hottest weekend of the summer, so Jesse set us up with a rental so we could scoot around town in comfort. By the time the car was ready for pickup again, they had spent so much time and care making sure the problem was solved, and also replaced the brakes they'd just put on in case they had gotten too hot and warped from that drive to-and-from the shop when they were stuck on. With all the attention and service we got, you'd think we'd brought them a collectible Aston Martin, and not just a little Mazda minivan! I could add more details and instances where the gang at Dynotech surprised me with their above-and-beyond service (in our first and only visit so far!), but the short version is this; this shop is a dream come true for anyone (like me) who dreads taking their car in for repairs. Their honesty, kindness, and willingness to ensure we felt 100% confident in the work they did guarantees that we'll be bringing them our cars for as long as their doors are open."

"What’s the Number 1 thing you look for in a mechanic? Is it honesty? Availability? Cost? Well for myself and my family we look for honesty and here is a a short story about the crew at Dynotech. I work on all my own cars until I can’t! Meaning I can fix most things on all of my vehicles but there are somethings that are better left to the professionals. I called Dynotech on a Monday morning about my rear main seal on my 2011 GMC Sierra. I had them quote me the cost and I dropped it off. Josh called me Wednesday and said “we have some great news and some not so great.”First off the oil leak I thought was the rear main seal was actually from a oil filter that was installed incorrectly by Valvoline instant oil change. Josh says “ we got it in the air cleaned everything off, found the leak and replaced the filter!” Awesome news! I also had a oil cooler fitting that was leaking. The fitting loosened up and they were able to tighten it back up and fix the leak! (They we’re going to replace the rear main seal and the radiator that had the oil cooler in it. I thought the radiator was cracked. That was the reason I wanted it replaced.) So they saved me well over $1000. They could have just done the repairs and charged me! The bad news was I had a broken motor mount and a bad ball joint. They were able to get both items fixed in a timely manner and the truck handles and performs as it should. It’s safer now that they checked the truck out and found those issues . So really the reason for the long review is….. We are not mechanics and most people have very little knowledge when it comes to their vehicles, if you go with Dynotech your lack of knowledge and distrust for automotive repair shops does not matter. This team will take care of you and make sure your vehicle is safe for you and your family! It’s a small family owned shop and it feels like it! Don’t waste your hard earned money with some other shady mechanic, do it right the first time with Dynotech! Bonus I got a picture with Josh!"
