"Stopped in on our bikes touring around one afternoon. Waitress told as we sat down the recommended item was the turkey melt sandwich, as if suggesting that's what we should order. She did give us menus though and my wife was able to order something off there. I went with the recommendation as I didn't see a clubhouse on the menu. We both had fries and when my wife asked for a fork the waitress said "well aren't you special" and she grabbed the napkins that were on the table already. "you can't have these then" and stormed off. She brought us forks though but when she put them on the table she said, "What kind of riders are you guys anyways" What has that to do with anything? Food was nothing special either. Won't go back."
"It's now changed owners and the name is now PETE AND HANKS COUNTRY CAFE in Red Lake Falls, MN. Conveniently located inside the Cenex Gas Station coming into town on 32 off of hwy 2. Short 10 minute drive. I had their breakfast along with a Carmel roll which is AMAZING. I told my husband about this hidden gem and we went for a Sunday lunch meal and the special was bacon crusted meatballs, mash potatoes and gravy, peas, roll and a dish of ice cream. Fresh and homemade. My husband was in HEAVEN. He had the man size while i opted for the small kids version. Prices were reasonable, staff super friendly, family owned. I can't wait to go back to try more menu items. Hours are 6 to 2 everyday."
