Biosphere 2

"Was fun to see it in person, would like to have had access to more of it, like a bedroom and the library. It was fascinating to imagine spending 2 years locked inside! The designs of the buildings were very interesting, and the different habitats were pretty and had lots of information about them through the app. I really liked going at our own pace with earbuds listening to our phones instead of having a live guide."

"The views are incredible of the nearby mountains and the domes and glass buildings. The staff are very helpful at getting you started and pointing you in the right direction. The arrows are easy to follow and recognizable. We enjoyed watching the videos from the app that are very educational and helpful. My grandma enjoyed that they made the areas more accessible when they could, offering ramps when possible. Inside was absolutely gorgeous and incredible! It was like being next to the real thing! They also had videos and documents that you could read of look at to learn more about the mission! Everything was explained and shown so well! This is for people who are in the science field and also those who just enjoy it as a hobby or just love nature. We loved being able to go at our own pace!"

"We've always wanted to come see the Biosphere 2. And we're glad we came during the cooler time of the year. We had taken a jacket in case it was cold. But it was so much warmer inside than it was outside. I would recommend coming during the cooler Arizona months versus the warm Arizona. It's very interesting to think about people living in this place for 2 years."

"Pretty cool place with an interesting history. I was hoping the tour would allow a bit more exploration of the sites, but it was pretty great all the same. The location is fairly remote, best not to rely on ride share apps which wouldn't come to pick me up and the local taxi service was very expensive. The conference venue was great. Nice housing and presentation spaces. Definitely worth waking up early to see the sunrise over the Catalina mountains."

"What a great place to spend the afternoon. Did not expect it. The tours are great, or just walk around yourself. Very interesting on what went on, and nice to see that they can still use the place for future experiments. I must stop if your in the area."
