"Car Canyon picnic area is really an awesome place though I have one major complaint they are charging to park and have a picnic. A piece of advice drive about 8 mi South into Coronado National memorial run by the National Park Service and you can have a picnic in the forest at a picnic table with a flush toilet and running water and a drinking fountain at your picnic table and there's never a fee it is always free it's a small teeny National Park called Coronado National memorial and there's a ranger station there's two real running water plumbing bathrooms. It does close at sunset you are not allowed to be there at night. However I went to Carr Canyon and I did not pay but I stayed with my car. This is a truly beautiful spot with beautiful views up into the canyon. The Carr Reef cliffs towering high above are excellent for photo op"

"A nice place to hike a nice place to roast some marshmallows or have a nice barbecue, they have their own Built-in grills so long as you've got the equipment you can bring your own and it's not a bad place to go out and just escape the town. You know it's a good place to look at the stars it's a nice place to view nature in the daytime, you get to see some good places that used to be active for a lot of the people that were out there doing a lot of stuff in the earlier century, in the night time you can catch during certain seasons the The sounds of wildlife in the evening crickets and even bring some equipment and get some nice shots of stars and the moon and planets. Included in my review here are a few shots of the moon through the simple scope, myself at the old way point, and the plaque at the point. While a picture is worth a thousand words, experience is worth a thousand chapters. (You know, to reference it in a similar manner)"
