About the Business

Temple Bar Campground

Temple Bar Campground is a peaceful and remote oasis located along the eastern portion of Lake Mead in Arizona. This year-round campground features paved sites suitable for tents or RVs, with amenities such as tables, fire pits, and water spigots. The area offers some shade from a mix of palm trees, oleanders, and cottonwood trees, providing privacy between sites. Visitors can enjoy the serene atmosphere and pristine night skies, perfect for stargazing.

The campground is accessible by paved roads and offers restrooms with sinks and toilets, though there are no showers available. Each campsite can accommodate up to eight people with one camping unit, and there are multiple water spigots and restrooms spread throughout the area. Wildlife in the area includes various bird species, lizards, antelope squirrels, and coyotes.

Temple Bar Campground is an ideal location for both land and water activities. Guests can hike along the Temple View Trail to enjoy views of Lake Mead and the natural temple formation, or rent a boat from the marina to explore the crystal blue waters. The campground also features a seasonal cafe, store, and picnic areas with grills.

For those looking to explore further, the campground is located within driving distance of Kingman, the Las Vegas Valley, Route 66, and Grand Canyon West. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or outdoor adventure, Temple Bar Campground offers a unique experience in the Arizona desert.

"This little used campground is in full bloom. The oleanders give privacy even with low usage. Sunrise and sunset is picturesque at temple bar!"

"A wonderful little gem of a campground! We were there in early March and there was only three other campers. Plenty of shade with eucalyptus, Olive, palm and oleander bushes throughout the whole campground. Makes every little campsite nice and cozy. The water is quite far away these days, but accessible and the well-stocked Marina store will have just about anything you could need. This is the first come first serve campground, but I've heard a rumor that this may change. But for now, don't tell anyone cuz I want to keep this one a secret."

"Love this place! Will be going back every chance I get! Campground was clean and beautiful Bathrooms were conveniently located We walked to the store and bought the kiddos popsicles and sat on picnic tables near-by. The store has everything you forgot and more! The staff was extremely friendly-like we had known them for years! The lake was as beautiful and peaceful as EVER! Amazing weekend place-could've stayed longer for sure!"

"Did a little recon trip for future camping trips. Nice little spot near the lake. Came out in March so cooler weather. Sites are a little small compared to a lot of other campgrounds, but good enough for a couple tents. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Trees all around, but I imagine may not help too much under the summer sun and heat. Store is about 1/4 mile away, so easy stroll. Restaurant/Bar being renovated with anticipated reopening Memorial Day 2021."

"We had a great time camping at Temple Bar. The campground was quiet and you could see the Milky Way Galaxy as you are far from the lights of Vegas. The campground host was friendly and knowledgeable. Don’t leave your food out for the critters!"
