"TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. This was the worst banking experience I have ever had. First an appointment was scheduled to meet in person with a banker. I had intentions of opening up a business account, this was my first time opening up a business account & I had a lot of questions. Before my appointment I was receiving automated messages from US Bank reminding me of my appointment. At the same time I was having an actual person contacting me to reschedule my appointment. That should have been my first sign to run the other way. The bank is located within a food store, I approached the window to let them know I had an appointment, they were expecting me. This manager sized me up & was very stand-off from the beginning, there was no greeting, he was not wanting to open an account for me form the moment he saw me. He did not introduce himself, but did introduce this very young man who would be helping me, if they could open the account.”IF”?!? I was there with the intent to open 2 accounts, a money market for my small startup business & an account for a trust. Well this ogre of a bank manager kept me standing in the food store, rather than bringing me into the office for my appointment, as he perused through the documents I had brought, & was wanting me to answer personal questions regarding my potential future accounts with them - WTH?!? I was reluctant to answer any questions while standing in the grocery store, hence the reason I made the appointment, why do my neighbors need to know my banking business? The manager was looking through the documents for the trust account & asked me where the rest of the trust was, as he continued to belittle me & my documents, as he wanted the whole trust, I informed him that my lawyer advised me that those were the only documents of the trust that were needed to be shared. The bank manager was not happy with that response & said, well we will just need to send it to cooperate & see what they say! It was just awful, & I wish this experience on no one else. After finally being allowed to sit in the office for my private banking appointment, this young man was so nervous, & unknowledgeable, he was shaking, as if this big ogre was making him uncomfortable from the other side of the office door. The young man was not able to answer any of my questions, had no knowledge of anything. So he had to keep getting up to ask the manager, in order to answer my questions. In the end the ogre of a manager said they would not be opening up my business account because I was trying to clean money! Clean money? I did not even know what that meant! I was suspicious, amongst other incriminating things, as per the manager. Mind you, this is a small suburban middle class area, & I’m visiting a bank inside a food store. Take your business & your money elsewhere. Do not bank with US Bank if they condone this behavior from their employees."
