"Dr Pineda is a wonderful provider, but his MA Itzel is awfully rude and unwelcoming.This is a cancer center, patients should be treated with some compassion, instead she makes you feel as if you are bothering her to do her job! When asked a question her response is not friendly but very rude at times. I thought it was just me but I witnessed the same behavior to other patients as well. Again this is not a review of Dr. Pineda at all. Perhaps a little customer service training will help. Also , I suggest not keeping food items in view of patients , i believe this is a DHS violation."

"This is NOT a review of the Doctor rather his staff. The front office person is rather rude and far from welcoming. This is a cancer center, us patients are nervous and scared, a simple smile and kind word go far.However, no such thing will be found at this office. I’ve been here a handful of times and she (front office woman) was rude and unwelcoming every time , so it wasn’t just a “ bad day” The nurse was also very rushed and I did not feel heard by her at all. Perhaps they are understaffed .Since my situation is more manageable (not crisis) I will not be returning to this Ironwood location . Again this is not a review of Dr. Pineda at all. Ironwood please send your patient forward staff to additional soft skills training. Also , I suggest not keeping food items in view of patients , it gives of an air of uncleanliness . The area when you open the door to the hallway to the immediate left before the bench is in full view of the patients we can see all the condiment bottles and food , rather unsanitary . Perhaps add a curtain if space is limited . Lastly if Dr Pineda is no longer accepting new patients please just say that rather then continually rescheduling us or suggesting another office ."

He speaks fast, but he's always happy to go back and explain if you didn't understand something and never makes you feel silly for asking questions.
