"Beautiful buildings in the middle of the desert. Really only Why AZ which 2 gas stations is the closest area. Everything else is very very far away."
"Beautiful plaza with a small town vibe. Offering a coffee shop, resale shops, bank, restaurants,galleries,Visitor Center, Post Office, Yoga Studio and plenty of parking. Weekend and special occasion events and activities. Ajo also offers great near by off grid camping with plenty of privacy, scenic trails & roads with magnificent views and privacy."
"A nice plaza with shops and historic sights within walking distance. The Christmas decorations were still up but I did not stay late enough to see if the lights were still on. Plaza provides great view of the Spanish Revival architecture as well as the train depot which now houses the visitor center. Whether you are visiting for a day or passing through, it’s a nice stop to take in some sights of Arizona’s history."
"If you are looking for a quaint small town plaza shopping experience this is a great place to visit. Sit at the local cafe and try authentic Italian barista coffee and then have lunch and see local art shops. The centre square has much historical value and there are many murals that adorn the building walls. This was a highlight on our recent trip!"
