But I reached out to desert grooves and not only did they give me a fair price for my records, they came and picked them up. David came by my place after the shop closed and we went through my collection. David was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a good time going through my records and it was nice selling them to someone who appreciated my collection. He priced them all at what they were going to sell them for and he paid me half of that. It was more money than I had expected to get. Which made me feel a lot better about selling them. "Every time I’m in a different part of town for any reason I look up to see what record shops are near me that I can just go and check out. Desert Grooves popped up as a new one I hadn’t seen before so I decided to go. I walked in, and the shop was absolutely PACKED with people looking for their favorite vinyl (always a good sign). Within 2 minutes of thumbing through their “new arrivals” I had found 4 records that I have been looking for, for quite some time! In just a cursory look through the rest of the store in short order I found 11 different records that I ended up purchasing! These guys have curated an AMAZING catalog of records that almost felt like they were targeting my diverse musical preferences! I had a chance to speak with one of the co-owners, Dave, and he was friendly, knowledgeable about the media, and (was the icing on the cake that for me) guaranteed that despite the shop being 45 minutes from home that I would for SURE be back!! "Nice vinyl record shop in this strip mall. Good prices. Great place to shop if you are starting your collection or searching for that LP you always wanted as a kid. They carry a variety of music genres. The owner is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are not escalated, as I have noticed they are in other vinyl shops. LPs are merchandised in heavy quality plastic sleeves to assure product is not abused by sticky, dirty browsing fingers."
