About the Business

Reid Park

Reid Park, located at 900 South Randolph Way in Tucson, Arizona, is a 156.2-acre metro park in Ward 6. The park features various attractions such as the Georges DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, Cele Peterson Rose Garden, Hi Corbett Field, and Miko's Corner Playground Dog Park. The park is currently undergoing a master plan to improve and enhance its facilities based on community feedback.

The Miko's Corner Playground Dog Park, named after a TPD police dog, offers separate areas for large and small dogs, dog-friendly water fountains, and a ramada with tables. Smoking is not allowed in the dog park to ensure a safe and healthy environment for pets and their owners.

The Cele Peterson Rose Garden is undergoing a restoration project to bring back its historical beauty over a three to five-year period. This project aims to preserve and enhance the rose garden for long-term public enjoyment.

Hi Corbett Field, originally built in 1927, has a rich history as the former spring training home of the Cleveland Indians and the Colorado Rockies. The field has also hosted various baseball teams and leagues over the years, making it a significant sports venue in Tucson.

Visitors to Reid Park can also participate in the Park Rx program, which encourages healthy living through outdoor activities and exercise routines in the park. The park offers a unique patient-provider relationship where nature is prescribed as a means to promote physical well-being.

Overall, Reid Park is a diverse and vibrant recreational space that caters to a wide range of interests, from sports enthusiasts to nature lovers. Visitors are encouraged to share their feedback and ideas for the park's future development through a survey available on the park's website.

"Attended the Annual Heart Walk at Reid Park. Lots of booths, free items, snacks for the large groups from different health facilities, water, music, play area for kids. The walk is approximately 3 (ish) miles around Reid Park. Water stations around the walk, volunteers along the path to keep us on the right path. Lots of walkers with family and friends as well fur babies. Great experience every year♥️"
