Delano Las Vegas

"It was between 5 and 4, but then the price/value made it a 5. Delano is a nice and pretty hotel. Our room was really nice and spacious. It had a living room that was separated by a door from the bedroom , so while the kids were sleeping, we were able to spend time in the living room. The pool was also nice. The large side of the pool was closed for the winter , but the smaller part that was open was heated and it had a nice spacious jacuzzi. However, keep in mind that the pool is part of Mandalay Bay. So we had to work through the casino to get there. Delano does not have a separate pool. What disappointed us the most was the service. It seems like the majority of the staff are just not a 5 star resort staff. Front desk was extremely nice and really great but, a lot of times we were not able to reach them. One time we were on hold for 20 minutes, then the call dropped and we had to wait another 20 minutes just to get something from the front desk. The other time be called for extra betting, waited 30 minutes and I had to come downstairs, requested bedding again and waited again, so it took about 45 minutes to get our stuff. This is not something you usually expect from a 5 star resort. When we arrived, the bell desk appeared to be high and not very interested in seeing us, granted it was midnight but at the same time the expectation was that somebody would be there. Cleaning/mini fridge people kept coming in as they pleased with disregard for the privacy button. Overall, my impression was that there was a lot of low level staff who was not interested in doing any work and understaffed higher level staff who did not have enough time to fix everything. Also, we did not find any quality restaurants at the resort. Maybe there were some but nothing that we could have easily located. Most of the food that we saw there was pretty mediocre so we had to step outside to the strip to find good food. It would have been nice to have something directly in the hotel. Overall, given everything, we still were able to secure really good rates for this hotel. So, with that it ended up being a 5 for us in this situation"

"Spent the weekend here in February 2024 and really enjoyed it. Room was big. Everything was clean. Casino wasn't too smoky. Restaurant was good for breakfast. Location is at the end of the Strip, which worked out fine. Some days we walked up the Strip, others we took a ride share."

"i have been to this hotel for many years and Service is always great, room was very comfortable and clean. The front desk very polite and nice quite place . The only change was there is NO more Shampoos and soap to bring back home to my kids as all were changer to large squeeze bottles."

"First time staying at this MGM property and I was very impressed. Beautiful room with a sitting room with wet bar and half bath attached to a large bedroom with massive bathroom including roomy shower and huge soaking tub. The hotel, while attached to Mandalay Bay, is extremely quite and has a very luxurious feel. Definitely would stay again."

"First time staying at the Delano. Spent 5 nights here over New Years week. The room was very spacious especially for Las Vegas. Big living room area, with a 1/2 bathroom! And a separate bedroom with a spacious on suite bathroom.The beds were super comfy. Room was exceptionally clean , and the floor to ceiling windows made the view of the strip/airport a super Vegas vibe. Love that the lobby and cafe area is all smoke free. Easy 2 minute indoor access to Mandalay Bay. Safer/ quieter area on the South end of the strip. Compared to the busier but way more sketchy North end/Downtown area. Very family friendly resort. Saw lots of couples with kids. The cafe downstairs was super easy and convenient…they do close at 1:00 pm which is a little early for “Vegas” mornings. Was able to use my $50 resort credit towards room service breakfast before checking out and it was better than expected. Would definitely stay here again."
