"Is this location closed like I’ve been calling for a month and no one answers! I guess my daughter can’t have a follow up .. I’m super frustrated as normal as this office is the most I professional office .. the doctor is lovely but the office is terrible , they need new management and staff ."

"I've been taking my son to see Dr. salevitz for almost a decade now, but after having to deal with this locations staff I don't think I'll be returning. At my intial appointment they were kind and helpful, and at the end of the appointment I was told the printer was down and they would email me my son's prescription. I never received an email but figured out it was on the patient portal, then I figured out that the eyeglass stores couldn't fill the prescription off my phone they needed a physical copy. I have called repeatedly to ask the office staff to fax it over and I was told they would. It's now been over a month since our initial visit and when I called AGAIN today the receptionist I got was very annoyed I couldn't simply figure this out on my own. I understand things happen and my son is not the only patient, but it's frustrating that it has been over a month and my concern was met with attitude. I'm sure this probably won't be seen but it's really frustrating as a parent who is just trying to get the things their child NEEDS and there was no understanding or help to be offered by the staff."

"We love Dr. Salevitz! He is great with my daughter, always making her feel comfortable, and he even gets a few laughs! The staff is polite and we never have to wait more than 5 minutes to see the doctor. I love the new location, so convenient in south Gilbert."

"EDIT- editing to say after I wrote this review the manager that oversees that department saw this and got in touch with the ophthalmology and a receptionist called me the very next next day to get me in that same day. I am very pleased with that and very pleased with Dr Mark Salevitz. I had an appointment for my child that I was waiting for two whole months. They called me a day prior to say the doctor is not in office and they had nothing to accommodate for that day. They told me I had to wait another two months for an appointment. Please trust and believe in the reviews. Horrible place go elsewhere"

"I would give a 0 star if I could. Neither the staff or ophthalmologist had any bedside manners for children. Instead of explaining to my 3 year old that they were going to be applying eye drops, they instantly went for the tactic to have me lay on my back while holding my child in something like a wrestler body lock while they held down her head and forced her to take them. They didn’t pause, reassess or explain to her what was going on, or what was about to happen before they started. They didn’t even talk to her the entire visit. Everything was directed through me as the parent, and it traumatized her off the bat and she lost all their trust in the first few seconds. The doctor ignored the fear the technician had already imprinted after the drops, and continued to ask me to hold down my daughter as she screamed and tried to claw her way out of my arms in sheer terror, and the doctor held down her head to look into her eyes. There was ZERO personal interaction with my child, and not once did any staff stop to talk or explain to her. It was like walking into an office of robots. I don’t know why I put any sort of trust in them as ‘professionals’ and I should have walked out after the traumatizing eye drop experience. The ophthalmologist wouldn’t even quit when my baby and I were both bawling. Do not trust these people with your children."
