"If it is your first time having a well women's check I wouldn't choose Life Care for Women. The appointment was rushed and Dr. Sodoma didn't seem like she had more than two minutes to sit and go over any type of history or any questions. While completing the pap and cervical exam she didn't explain what she was doing while doing it. She didn't ask if there was any type of discomfort or anything. Quickly did the exam and left the room. I'm sure a quick in-and-out appointment for someone who has had their yearly check often done is great, but for a first-timer, it was disappointing. For anyone's first time, a doctor should be attentive, ask questions, and explain what is going on. I found this office and Dr. Sodoma by looking online, and it was my mistake that I didn't take the time to scroll through more than the first few reviews. READ as many reviews as you can, she has upset and made multiple patients uncomfortable for many different reasons. Will not be returning here."

"I’ve gone to the office for a few years now and the experience is always hit or miss. Specifically with the staff. After being in a car accident, and not having the opportunity to schedule because of this life event- I was in a bind with rx refills. Completely my responsibility and I acknowledged and apologized for this. I called to book at my soonest, before the medication ran out. I was greeted with someone that must have been having a less than good day. I get it, I’ve definitely been there myself being a medical assistant previously. However when attempting to find common ground I was treated rudely, dismissed, and scoffed at over the phone. My intentions were not to cultivate an escalated environment at 9am on a Monday, but it seemed to be the intent of the medical assistant. I simply wanted to verify if I could take partnership with the doctor to get a short- temporary fill of the medication I take to assist with my cysts until I could get in to see Dr. Sodoma. I felt the conversation was escalated by the medical assistant to a place that has a patient was extremely inappropriate, uncaring, and uncalled for. I realize we all have personal things going on in our lives but it should never be thrown in a strangers face in that manner. It was extremely unprofessional and held no discretion or respect for the doctors personal life. The medical assistant was very clearly going through a tough time herself, I hope she gets better soon. To follow up, there was absolutely no “mutual understanding” that my medication would be filled. When I asked if this accommodation could potentially be made she verbatim said “I don’t know. That’s not a decision for me to make. I’m just the messenger. I’ll message the doctor and you’ll just have to wait and see if she wants to do that for you.” And when I said “Okay.. so if she can’t fill them will I be informed? Or what would my options be then?” She scoffed and stated “coming in sooner would be your option.” There was no respect, kindness, or empathy. I did opt to see another provider. I appreciate the offer of a conversation, but it’s not worth me being put in another uncomfortable situation once again by this office."
