"Absurd wait time. Was made late to work. If you are understaffed do not schedule several people five/ten minutes apart. So unprofessional and rude. A blatant disregard for our time."

"I was very impressed by the doctor and staff on my first visit. They have excellent equipment to evaluate the eye. Their staff was very professional and caring. My situation was serious and they worked diligently to get me an appointment with a retina specialist the next day. Kudos to the front desk person Staff had also decorated doors for Valentine’s Day which showed a lot of love for their office. I am thankful for this wonderful staff"

"The staff is very unfriendly and irritated. I was not treated like the rest of the patients. I guess you have to be Caucasian and elderly to recieve good customer service. The older woman who assisted the optometrist was very rude and smelled like cigarettes it made me nauseous. However, Cody Frank, O.D. was friendly and kind."

"We arrived quite early for our 1:40 PM appointment. We were directed to register at the kiosk. The gentleman in front of us struggled with the kiosk for nearly 15 minutes while two of us waited. The receptionist clearly saw this gentleman was struggling, but offered no assistance. We finally informed the receptionist at 2:10 PM that we were leaving. You will get better service at the DMV."

"We arrived on time, waited over 50 minutes and left without being seen because my dad had another doctor's appointment later that day. Was it unrealistic of me to think that leaving four hours open would be enough for an eye appointment? I was told by more than one staff member, "we're short staffed," as if there's nothing they can do about the wait. The staff shortage seems to be persistent since other reviewers from weeks ago also complained of the wait time. We lost two hours out of our day. I only waited as long as I did (and tried to convince my dad to wait) because he was having eye pain. I'm his full-time caregiver and I work full-time. I can't afford to waste two hours. How infuriating that the staff at this facility has the attitude that there's nothing they can do about this problem - you can't control a staffing shortage - YOU CAN CONTROL YOUR SCHEDULING! How infuriating that they seem to think our time is of no value. This is very disrespectful and clearly their usual procedure - they have a chart on the desk informing new patients the appointment could take up to three hours (I guess an hour of wait time is to be expected). As I said on the way out, "Don't schedule more patients than you have time to see." Warning to others - if you have limitless time on your hands, bring a book. If your time is valuable, choose another eye care center. To the staff at Southwestern Eye Center, consider taking responsibility for the choices you make and how those choices impact others. Stop making excuses for your poor scheduling practices and dismissive attitude towards patients and their caregivers. We deserve to be treated with respect."
