Holt Eye Care

"Everyone in the office was nice, but I did not have a good experience getting the right lense for me. At checkout, I was not asked what kind of lenses I wanted. It's my fault for not looking closer at the screen and inquiring when they showed me what my payment would be when purchasing, but one would think I would be asked "what kind of lenses do you want? Scratch resistant? Anti-reflective ? Anti glare?". I used to go to Walmart for eye care and they always gave me ample lense options at checkout. I checked my emailed receipt after the appointment and saw they put the highest grade of anti-reflective coating which was important to me, so I did not inquire further. I probably would have paid extra for an anti-scratch coating as well if asked. Not present on my receipt was a blue light filter (I did not ask for this) which appears to cause really bad reflections. I asked to switch to lenses (after waiting 3 weeks for the 1st ones to come in with the unasked for blue light filter) that were COMPLETELY reflection free, and I was asked if I wanted to have the blue light filter taken off. I said I didn't really care either way, I just wanted no more reflections, but upon receiving my second set of lenses (another 3ish weeks later) which by the way I was told would "use up the warranty" on the lenses, I still have bad reflections, which I now assume was the blue light filter all along. I would have hoped the experts would tell me that this is what I was seeing in the lenses and advise me on a better lense for my preferences. However, I had to figure that out on my own. Now I am stuck with lenses that are uncomfortable to me and I would have to pay full price to get replaced. Overall, nice staff, but I am not happy with the end product and lack of advice from the staff, especially at the price I paid."

"Dr. Holt and the front desk woman are very nice and helpful. However, the older woman who I saw for check out at the small desk isn't friendly. I've had her twice during check out, and she doesn't smile, doesn't say how was everything, doesn't say thank-you, etc. She doesn't represent the office well with her unpleasant demeanor, which is unfortunate since the doctor & front desk are great."

"Dr Holt was awesome, if the survey was just about him, he'd get 5 stars. He took his time & explained stuff, great bedside manor. The girls in the front are a different story, I would give them a zero if I could. They are rude, argumentative (ie the lady checking us out claim they had no idea about the 50% off for the retinal image. She charged my wife full price even when asked about it), not knowledgeable regarding insurance - she had no clue what my premiums were even with the printed paper in front of her, attempted to charge mea medical copay vs vision copay."

"Holt Eye Care is always a great and easy experience for me and my family and we have been going to Holt for years. It is very easy to set appointments and they make it very easy to reschedule if you need to. This time around they had some cancellations before my appointment and they actually contacted me to see if I wanted to come in earlier. The customer service is always excellent and they never pressure you once your eye exam is done if you don’t want to purchase frames or lenses there. Very happy with Holt Eye care and I will always recommend them. You will not be disappointed."

From calling to make an appointment to leaving with our new prescriptions, everything and everyone was wonderful. Dr. Holt is very knowledgeable, thorough and very personable. Our eye exams went great. The office staff were very attentive and a special thank you to Melissa for recommending a pair of frames that will be just perfect for me. Also, I overheard one staff member assisting another client and she was very accommodating and caring, letting the customer know that they are here to help and she was happy to assist the customer with her adjustment on her glasses.
