"My son and I were looking for some ice cream and saw Ed's. While the distinct odor upon entering the store may have been a bit surprising, the overall experience was still enjoyable. The store itself was kept relatively clean, and the display of ice cream options made choosing our treats a breeze (even though we couldn't see inside the containers). My son liked his cherry slushie, and while my pistachio ice cream was good, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. All in all, I'd give this place a six out of 10, but the variety of options and friendly staff still make it worth a visit!"

"Update: decided to give this place a second chance and stopped by the curbside water dispenser. Guess what? Thick green algae is back (or still there?) and definitely at a growth stage of more than a couple of days. If it's this nasty where customers can see, I can't imagine what's behind the scene. The outdoor vending machine has a thick layer of bright green algae growing around the drain and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in quite awhile. The store is often closed before the posted closing time - I've been there as early as 10 minutes before closing time but the lights were already off and the door was locked."

"Second occurrence that I have showed up at 9:30am on a Sunday to get water and ice before work. The place was still closed each time even though it is posted that they are open. Today I waited for about 20 minutes hoping that someone would show up and open the store. People showed up, about 4 other potential customers, but no employee ever came. I got water at the outside dispenser but failed on my mission to also get ice. All the other customers went next door to Safeway. I’ll probably look for a new place nearby for my water and ice supply."
