"I prefer supporting local Bisbee businesses, but they still have to provide decent products and service. When I called the B&D owner to find out if they had what we needed, he seemed very helpful and friendly, assuring me they had high quality lumber and would cut to order at 50 cents per cut. I sent my helper to get the supplies, and his experience was the total opposite of what was promised. He found the clerks in the Bisbee store surly and unhelpful, and they claimed they did no custom cutting and would not allow him to pick our lumber. By the time I got home, my helper had already cut the lumber himself to the needed size, but we found only about 1/2 of it marginally usable for the project (half of that had minor curvature, but I think we can make it work). The remainder was too warped or cracked to use for the job, and since he had already cut it, we couldn't return. Sadly, I will now be driving to a big box store for all future supplies."
