Denny's

"Our server, Charles, was the best! He made us feel at home with his super friendly personality and was on top of everything. Food was timely and delicious. I ordered the sirloin and it was cooked exactly the way I ordered it. Will definitely go here again."

"I'm a local and have been coming here for years. I remember the food being a little better but the wait staff has always been great. This new manager (I assume she's new because ive never seen her before) is passive aggressive to her staff in front of customers, I'd hate to think what she's like behind the kitchen door. I've worked at restaurants so I know it can stress anyone out, but management can definitely treat their employees better. This place will probably always have high turn over, and changing taste."

"This is second year in a row the food and service have been less than satisfactory here. I drive up to San Tan Valley to visit my long time friend for the Superbowl. He loves coming to this Denny's. Last year, our food took forever to come to us (almost 45 minutes) and it was cold. The manager, who was newly in her position, apologized and explained how she was changing the atmosphere at this location with their current personnel. She gave us a discount, which was unexpected and we agreed that we should give Denny's another chance. New year, same result with a twist. When we arrived on a 40 degree morning, it was warmer outside than in the restaurant. When my friend complained, they brought a portable heater that didn't do too much to make a difference. There were 4 of us in the restaurant when we placed our order yet our food still took 30 minutes to get to us, because it had been sitting on the serving window for 10 of those minutes and of course, the eggs were cold to the touch, the bacon was limpy and cold and my friend's chicken fried steak was warm. Though they re-did the meals this was ridiculous. In addition, my friend's coffee cup remained empty several times and he had to ask for more. Unheard of, in most restaurants. Unfortunately, we are going to, after years of loyalty to the Denny's on Hunt Highway are going to be looking elsewhere to dine on Superbowl Sunday to start the day off right."

"Seated quickly. Staff was friendly, even though they were short-handed. Any stress they experienced from that was never present at our table. Always smiling and helpful. I got the Grand slamwich. I was happy with my choice. The sandwich was a meal in itself. Hot and tasty."

"we wanted some breakfast. when we were seated we sat at the table for 10 mins our waiter walked past us about a dozen times before the hostess told him he had a table he came over and just said "what do u want" we ordered our drinks and food. I was very skeptical at this point. (I can be very understanding being I've worked in food service before) our food came we were very disappointed so we sat and attempted to eat called the waiter back and told him our hash browns tasted just like burnt food he said ok n that was the end of it. I'm assuming he was new to his job so I didn't want to add pressure on him but our food wasn't good the cook was horrible as if they didn't care. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of the manager she was nice and was helping out our waiter. my husband explained about our hash browns and she took them off our bill. we ordered french toast with cheese eggs and turkey bacon hash browns with onions and green peppers and a order of stuffed French toast."
