Backyard Taco - Mesa South

"The food was very good. I really enjoyed the pork tacos which was surprising because I am not a fan of pinnapple. The staff was not the greatest though. I live closer to a smaller location but decided to drive a little further to a larger location thinking I would get better service. I sat for a while going over the menu since I was a first time customer and got my families orders and finally got in line to place my order once the crowds were gone. I waited patiently because the cashier was stocking up on lids so I was giving her a moment to get caught up. Another customer walked up in front of me and she just stopped what she was doing to help him knowing I was there waiting. She finished with him and her lids then decided to acknowledge me to let me know she was ready to take my order. I would have expected much better service for being a first time customer and for spending about 75 dollars on a large order. I don't think bigger is always better so next time I think I will take my business to the smaller location closer to me. Hopefully I will get better service there."

"I've been here a few times during the pandemic, but I haven't really been back since more taco spots opened around me. I stopped by today for a work lunch treat and was pleasantly surprised that everything was still good! I ordered a pick up for the office, and there were some issues during the pick-up, but the service was very helpful! We ordered tacos and quesadillas! The salsas were all so good and had the flavor. My birria quesadilla was exceptionally delicious and can't wait to come back."

"This place is very cute and has a fun vibe but the food itself is pretty subpar for the price. Almost four dollars for a street taco is a bit excessive. It is a great place for a large group though."

"This place was pretty good especially for the price. Very clean, simple menu, very good price for qualityand portion, open atmosphere with several choices in condiments and toppings: salsas, guacamole both spicy and not, Pico, pickled cucumbers and radish. Ordered the Burria gordita with cilantro and onion and added the rice and beans combo, meat was very tasty and it was a good size, also had a cheese quesadilla which was a good share if you want extra food (kids size) rice is pretty goof, beans and cheese was just ok, all in all it was $27 which is really reasonable these days going out to eat. Food comes out quick, order and seat yourself, other places I like better but would pay more so overall I was satisfied and so was husband. Would definitely return."

"The food is excellent and the portion is great and it comes out really fast. I love the salsa bar and the variety of things there. The pico de gallo is great and I love cucumbers and they always have fresh cucumbers out. Although they don't have the jalapeno peppers and carrots found at other taco places, they do have grilled jalapeno's and onions that you can get at the place that you pick up your food. There is always plenty of seating and the place is really clean. The staff is very friendly. This is my go-to place to take clients and friends for lunch since it is very dependable and clean. I am knocking on the service because I don't know of a single time in the past few months that I have been there at lunchtime where they had more than one cashier working."
