"Grabbed dinner with a buddy at Sala Thai last week and was very impressed with the taste and quality of food at the restaurant. The restaurant has a few casual dining tables, and you order your food at the counter. The Gai Tod Na Khao was deliciously cooked fried chicken and had an amazing sauce to pair with. The Kho Moo Dang pork skewers were tender and I mixed them in with some rice and sauce. Great experience and look forward to going back!"

"I stopped here after the gym. WHAT a great find!! The Red Curry with shrimp was out of this world!!! The young man at the counter helped me decide heat level and it was perfect!!! He was so very pleasant, nice and upbeat. The food was extremely flavorful and fresh. I kept digging in. I will be back to work my way through the menu! Looking forward to more!!!"

"My wife were looking for a place to eat after 11pm in Phoenix and I noticed Sala Thai Tempe was open until 1AM! The owners and employees are the friendliest people you'd ever meet!! My wife got the Spicy Basil Chicken and I got the BBQ Pork and we ended up switching because her food was a 2/5 spice level and it was too hot for her and I love spicy food! Both of our meals were absolutely fantastic 5/5 for flavor, spices, temperature, and everything in between! This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and cozy on the inside as well and a nice place for a date night that is elegant but not too fancy! Oh and it doesn't break the bank either!! This is the closest taste to food from Thailand that my wife and I have experience in the entire valley!! I highly recommend Sala Thai Tempe, you won't be disappointed!!"

"I'll preface this by saying Sa Bai: On the Fly (which Sala Thai replaced), was my favorite Thai restaurant. That being said, while I'm sad Sa Bai's Tempe location is gone, I was not disappointed with my visit to Sala Thai. The updated aesthetics are nice, they replaced the old tables and chairs, and it still feels like a small hole-in-the-wall gem like Sa Bai was. I ordered the Panang Curry with chicken (medium spice); it was excellent! It came out quickly, was piping hot, and delicious. The ingredients' texture and taste felt fresh. The portion size was perhaps a tad on the light side, but was still more than adequate. For what I got, the pricing feels very reasonable. All in all, it was wonderful and I would be more than happy to order this again, though I'm excited to try some of the other dishes during future trips! Not to detract from the experience I had, as I will absolutely be recommending Sala Thai, but there are two things I'm really going to miss from Sa Bai that Sala Thai did not have. 1) Sa Bai included a small salad (more like a garnish), with that delicious peanut sauce, as an included side with their Curry while Sala Thai does not. 2) The Sa Bai Sweet Curry was the best Thai curry dish I've ever had; Sala Thai's Panang Curry is excellent, and delicious, but I would give the Sa Bai Sweet Curry the edge. In conclusion, Sala Thai was extremely good and I will certainly be coming back. I'll miss Sa Bai: On the Fly, but I'm very glad Sala Thai stepped in for this Tempe location. Thank you!"
