"I am originally from Hawaii and thought that the price was worth the amount of food served. The food was quite good, but it was missing the subtle flavors that would have made it excellent. It likely may not matter to those who did not grow up with these dishes. I, however, will still return regularly, as it is close enough for my taste, for my fix of Hawaiian dishes ("local food" as Hawaiians call it)."
"Ono is probably the best Hawaiian BBQ restaurant that I found in South Phoenix. They have great food options and they're very tasty. Well the prices can sometimes be pretty high, the quality of the food makes up for it. The staff sometimes gets our orders wrong, but they're always willing to fix it if we make sure to check our orders. Overall a great place to go if you haven't tried to buy barbecue in South Phoenix."
"Had the Hawaiian BBQ Mix. Pretty good. Acceptable quantity of food for $16.20. Disappointed they were out of knives... I'm sure there was a dollar store around there somewhere. Very cool decor and clean dining room."

"First time here and were highly impressed with the food. We were looking for a simple and good plate lunch place, and found it at Ono. The service was quick and professional, the dining room was clean with a neat condiment area, and employee was also sweeping and wiping down tables during the lunch period. Our meals were fresh and tasted yummy. The katsu was lightly fried and not oily. The chicken teriyaki tasted delicious. We will be back."
