Gil's Taste of Taos is a New Mexican restaurant and catering institution located at 1601 East Bell Road in Phoenix, Arizona. Our menu features authentic dishes made from Hatch Green Chiles and Chimayo Inspired Red Chile. From guacamole and chips to stuffed sopapillas and chile rellenos, we offer a wide variety of flavorful options. We also offer full-service catering for all types of events, including office parties, corporate events, and weddings. Visit us at the Road Runners Farmers Market on Saturdays from 8am to 12pm for breakfast and lunch burritos, as well as fresh roasted Hatch Chiles from August to October. "I’ve been wanting to visit Gil’s for awhile, and it did not disappoint. First off - this is one of the few restaurants in the valley that won’t freeze their patrons by pumping their A/C. The dining room was a very comfortable temperature. 2nd - they have a small and cute dog friendly patio. The food was delicious, not too spicy - but the heat was still there. I had the red chile smothered beef sopapilla - it was the perfect way to end my week. As a native New Mexican - this place is legit. Plus, you can’t beat the prices - the quality you get for the price is top notch. We will for sure visit again."
"Welcome to New Mexico without leaving Phoenix. Small family-owned with a delicious assortment family-recipe foods. Patio dining with a view of a mountain is available. Really worth trying."
