"Everything was absolute top notch. We had 5 different rolls, Vegas, Volcan, Deep Fried Cali, Abigail, and Cali. Our favorite was the Abigail. Service was top notch and promt. Great people running this outfit. Better than any traditional sushi I've had in tucson."

The size of these rolls is insane. You could pay the same amount at a more traditional place and get half the roll they give you here. Plus they have their own unique and vegan rolls."

"The words WOW simply do not describe my taste buds reaction to the flavors of Sombrero Sushi!! Allow me to preface my review with establishing that I am no stranger to World Class Sushi. Yes of course I have eaten at every sushi restaurant in the region, including the Phoenix market and yes, there is no argument that based on preference and taste there are some fantastic sushi places that evoke memories of enjoying great sushi. I too have eaten Sushi prepared by Chefs that are considered greats by their peers from LA to New York, and even the Orient. I say all of this to give you, the reader faith in that I know Sushi, and being a man of a robust appetite, as well as a fluffy tummy I won't steer you wrong... So here is what I will tell these Mex-cans know their sushi and their sauces are delicious! And please know while this might be a Food Truck, this food belongs in a brick and mortar at the minimum, if not in the Sushi Hall of Fame! First, their Samari Sombrero was one of the most visually appealing sushi rolls I have ever seen and for a moment I thought, well it's probably this beautiful to make up for the flavors being less than.... Boy was I "WRONG!!" this roll was so full of flavor that I sat quiet contemplating the last time my eyes, nose and taste buds had been so enamored with what I was consuming. If you go this is the go to right off the bat! Next was their version of the Vegas Roll!! For me as this is a favorite of mine I try at every spot I hit. This did not disappoint, their sauce and preparation of the deep fried skin was perfect! I can't imagine this not ranking up in the top 10 sushi spots of even the most discerning of sushi experts! And last but not least, the Fried Avocado sushi roll was a light and tasty treat for anyone that enjoys avocado or guacamole.. because that's what it tastes like, creamy and tasty... For value, the rolls were ample and most importantly the proteins were all fresh and prepared exquisitely. To close out my review, yes for anyone who knows me I only ever give four stars for food and one star is always reserved for service, and overall staff interaction. I wish I could give two stars for service because the young lady taking our order was cheerful, informative and patient as it was our first visit. When she asked where we drove from, she said wow you drove over 30 minutes to get here and I replied with yes but we are avid food enthusiast first and foremost. She smiled and through our order process was consistent. After I picked up the food from the window she said do you like egg rolls, I said yes and she said come back in 5 minutes... Not only did she gift us an egg roll sample order and two waters but she did it with a smile and kindness that was nothing less than a feeling of being familiar like an invited guest to their family home... We will be back, we were impressed with everything so I give them 6 stars for sure.."
