"Stopped in tonight to place an order to go. Completely turned off by the order yourself kiosk and was ready to leave but an attentive female employee quickly offered to place our order for us. The burgers taste great as do the fries! I agree with previous reviews the burger is so juicy (is that a bad thing?)...the bun doesn't stand a chance. Grab a fork."

"It might be the best burger in Tucson, and it’s definitely upscale! This Daniel Scordato place has a modern way to order at the front Kiosk (they help you if you are technically challenged) and sit with your beer, wine, or soft drink and wait for them to bring your food to the table in a nice setting. I loved my “French dip with Brie” burger and my wife had an awesome Nashville Chicken sandwich! The beef is amazing! The order of fries was big enough for two! We loved it and also appreciated how they sponsor local non-profits like Southern Arizona Against Slavery (a human trafficking awareness organization)! We will be back! VictorB"

"My GF had the French Dip; I opted for the UpTown Burger. Both quite good, but the brioche bun holding such a juicy, saucy burger makes for a sloppy handheld device. We washed it down with a couple of beers, a Big Spill Pilsner & a Japanese Lager. When you first enter their store, it feels a bit disorientating… like those “modern” fast food restaurants in the shiny new wing of the airport where you order at unmanned kiosks: coldly impersonal. You approach the counter, figure out the ordering system, hopefully someone will be standing around if you have a question. No cashier, no servers, you are your own wait staff, just like in a fast food restaurant. But when you checkout, they’re happy to suggest how much to tip your helpful servers. Tip culture and tip inflation in this country is an embarassing joke; a tool to make you the customer feel guilty about the fact that the owners don’t pay their servers a living wage. Of course, in this case there are no servers, so may I suggest leaving only a 35% tip? Anyway, we did enjoy the meal, but this is little more than just another burger joint… nothing particularly exotic about it. You can get a burger and fries from pretty much every restaurant in town, maybe not with Piedmontese beef but I can’t say that made the difference. Two burgers, an order of fries, two beers, tax & tip… $54.00. Seems a bit excessive."

"Surprisingly excellent burger and salad from a fast food type place. You pretty much serve yourself, including ordering, not much to the atmosphere but has indoor and outdoor spots. Looked like it had good beers but didn't order any. I'll be back for sure."

"Our family visited Uptown Burger tonight for the first time. When we walked in, no one greeted us; we had to ask an employee if you order from the computer by yourself (yes, you do). Ordered 1 Uptown Burger, 1 plain cheeseburger, 1 Cobb salad, 2 kids cheeseburgers, 2 orders of fries (doesn't come with the burgers) and 2 sodas. Total was over $70. The Uptown Burger was delicious, similar to the Samburger at Zin Burger. The kids meals were appropriately sized. My 13-year old son prefers a plain large cheeseburger, but there are no options for a build-your-own burger on the menu, so we ended up paying the same price for a plain burger ($12) that we did for the fancy burger, plus we had to add on fries and a drink. (In hindsight, we should have just ordered him 2 kids meals because he would've gotten more food for less money.) Finally, the Cobb dinner salad ($13) was literally 1/4 of a head of lettuce. Even Fleming's next door would've called that a side salad and charged less. Highly unimpressive. Overall, the food was mostly good but I'm not sure we'd return. There are better places out there."
