"We really wanted to like this place but the food was so disappointing. Brisket must have been about 2 days old ! Dry,tough, and looked like shoe leather. People were nice, and it seemed most everyone was engaged in good conversation. If you're starving, as I was, it will do, I guess."
"Had so much fun last night at Hooch's. Our waitress was warm and friendly and our dinner was fantastic. Met the owners and they invited us to come back tomorrow morning for breakfast. Looking forward to it. Update: we came back for breakfast and they did not let us down Country Fried steak was huge, big enough for 2. Our new favorite Lil bar/restaurant. Definitely will be back."
"We stumbled upon this welcoming little bar during our journey through the area. The BBQ food we tried was flavorful and cooked well, offering a genuine taste of the local cuisine. And to top it all off, they served us beer that was refreshingly ice-cold, which was the perfect accompaniment to the BBQ. It was an experience we cherished, and we'd recommend this spot to fellow travelers looking for a pleasant pit stop."
"We tried this place for dinner while driving through. It is dive but has great food and service. We ordered the Wings and Fried Pickles for appetizers and both were very good and cooked to perfection. I ordered the Bar-B-Que Ribs and my partner order Pulled Pork, both were delicious and smoked to perfection. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Our server Vickie was outstanding. She was very attentive and friendly. For a dive hole in the wall this place is top notch. Will return the next time we are in the area."
