"Tried this place for the first time. The reviews were mixed, but we were pleasantly surprised. The portions are big! You could actually share. We ordered the catfish, deep fried mushrooms and the riblet plate. The catfish was encrusted with cornmeal, hot and very fresh. The mushrooms were served with ranch and were very flavorful. The riblets were tender and served with fries and one side. Only complaint was the price was alittle high, and the fries and mushrooms weren’t served hot. I would still come back, as the service was excellent!"

"We have been going to Scotty's for 20+ years. It was always wonderful. We ordered 2 broasted chickens yesterday, and they were disgusting. I am sure they were not even broasted, dry, very small in size compared to what we used to get, and no flavor. We were so disappointed especially because we were having family over. For years we always told everyone how big their pieces were. I don't know if they have new owners or what.My husband even called to ask what happened just to get hung up on. It is a shame we will not be supporting them anymore. If any of you folks have run across this, please let me know, especially if you had been a loyal customer from previous years. Thank you."

"It was 12:15 and there was 1 other table occupied. That should have been the first clue. We ordered 2 "specials" Loaded Fries. 25 minutes later, we got cold fries with cold cheese sauce, cold meat and cold BBQ sauce. Really disappointed. I'd stay away."
