"Easy hike around the lake, across the bridge. Start the trail going north, not the path going south at the lake."

"Enter Ponderosa State Park ($7 entrance fee per vehicle) and follow the main road to either end of the trail. The actual walking path in the marsh is about 1.1 miles from one end to the other, then you can return back the same way or follow the main (25 mph) paved road to loop back to your parking spot. BRING BUG SPRAY! Even on a hot sunny day there was a good amount of mosquitos along the water."
