"Kristen has been doing our taxes for at least 10 years, if not 12. In the past we have had no issues, but this year there was a PROFOUND CHANGE that I would like to caution others about so that you will not be left in the situation that we were. This spring we submitted our tax documents as usual, nothing out of the ordinary, but as time passed, she continued to delay our preparation, claiming a variety of personal and professional challenges. She eventually filed an extension and did not complete our taxes till early September resulting in fines and penalties for both our state and federal taxes. We have relied on her professional services for many years and were astounded when we reached out and she told us that our tax liability (penalties) was our issue and that she recommended we find a new tax preparer. We are not sure what is going on at her firm, but can no longer trust and rely on her to prepare her taxes in a timely manner or that she has our financial best interests in mind. We will be looking elsewhere for our tax preparation services in the future. We are disappointed and left with hundreds of dollars of fines and penalties because of the delayed preparation."
