"A dear friend told me one of her 2024 goals was to re-orient and learn about firearms and become proficient. Her first step was she signed up for the Women Only Introductory Pistol Class. I quickly contacted Range 54 and was able to acquire a seat in the same class. The class instructors were Christina and Brooke. We had a class of 8-10 women with diverse ages, professional and personal experiences. My friend and I both agreed that this class is the best 4-hours introduction to firearms class and quality instructors we were blessed to experience. Brooke and Christina offered personal experiences and previous class attendee experiences along with just the right sprinkling of humor to ease anxiety and unfamiliarity with a firearm. The major topics of the 4 basic handgun rules, always being present to safety, especially safety on the range and proper shooting techniques were presented with authentic caring for the serious business of living with firearms with knowledge and safety. By the end of the class even the most anxious young lady in the group walked out of class with the glow of confidence and sheer joy on her face outshining the gun powder residue on her hands. We all agree with Christina and Brooke we are novice learners but are committed to doing the 'dry fire' homework/practicing so that we are ready to attend the blessings of Ladies are Free on Wednesday, and ready to advance to the next level of course work.
