"If you are a local, or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Bee Tree Folk School, located inside of the beautiful Historic Pythian Lodge (which looks like a castle). Stop in to see the incredible antiques and/or check out the classes and services they offer. Dan and Sandy are so welcoming. They gave us a tour of the beautiful, eclectic, collection of antiques and African artifacts housed within this historic building's walls. Listening to the stories and discovering the fascinating life of the original collector, the pieces themselves, and how they came to be here, was an absolute delight. I was so fortunate to have been introduced to these incredible people, and to have been able to visit this wonderful hidden gem. Were I not just passing through, I'd definitely sign up for some classes too! Please note photos were taken with permission, and are intended to be respectful of their cultural significance, deep history, past and present heritage, as well as their sheer artistic beauty."
