"Recently returned from an Acute Angling floating bungalow trip – my 4th trip with Acute – and can say without reservation or exception that it was another unique, remarkable, and enjoyable experience. Our fishing guides Brahma and Raimundo were exceptional. They were flexible and responsive; endlessly patient; they consistently put us on fish; and we enjoyed many laughs and a great time despite an inconsequential language barrier beyond “fishing English”. These gentlemen were accomplished professionals, and it was a privilege fishing with them both. Our camp host Jose was truly a Renaissance man. Such a pleasure to spend time and converse with him. He’s visited 54 countries, speaks eight languages, and is another seasoned professional on the Acute Angling team that orchestrated the best possible experience in camp. Expert in jungle survival and first aid, jungle fauna and flora, and very many other skills. This fascinating gentleman has “been there and done that”, and inspired ease and confidence in the entire operation. The food during our stay was utterly delicious. Our head-chef and sous-chef Mariza and Dora somehow created three delicious mains for breakfast (eggs, pancakes, French toast – all with bacon and sausages) and for dinner (a different fish, chicken, beef dish every night). The variety of mains, soups, sides, fruits, and baked goods every day was astounding. All colored with local culinary influence; meals were simply great - never mind made by themselves, and from a 6x10 foot camp kitchen. You’d come just for the food. Crucial to the experience were also our supporting camp staff. Benny’s subtle and observant ministrations were just perfect, keeping us in drinks, snacks, and safety. Junior was instrumental in keeping the camp’s electro-mechanical machinations operating smoothly. The efforts of other less visible staff were also clearly essential and sincerely appreciated. The camp runs like a Swiss watch under Jose’s careful orchestration. Our ground support in Manaus – Eddy and Tainah – were also instrumental in making our Brazil arrival and departure, and jungle insertion and extraction all exceptionally smooth. They really know the ins-and-outs and put a bow on the whole package from start to finish. Taken together, the staff and the overall experience far exceeded the sum of its parts. The concerted effort of this Acute Angling team is obvious, and the US and in-country support staff on the logistic and administrative lead up and close out just made things so much smoother and easier. Been fishing with Acute since 2007. Really a polished operation, and one that I hope to be fishing with for years to come. I’m as pleased with the new ownership as I was with the previous. A very safe bet and a remarkable adventure fishing value in my opinion."

"Fantastic trip. My son and I caught over 650 fish in the week. At least a dozen over 10 pounds, I think the biggest was 15 pounds. Accommodations are very nice considering the location, super cold air conditioning. Food was also very good. The highlight was reconnecting with our Guide Bene, who we first met back in 2009, along with his son Jonathan. It won't be 15 years before I get back there!"

"I have been on 4 trips with Acute Angling and each one has been excellent. It's amazing how seamless they make everything given the remote locations. From the time you step off the plane to the time you step back on, everything is handled for you. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering a Peacock Bass fishing trip in Brazil."

"I have been to Brazil fishing with this company twice in the last 22 years. Just got back in December. First class operation with people working very hard to get you the fish you want to catch. The accommodations were wonderful and people took great care of us. From planning to arrival home they were on top of it."
