"My family enjoyed the Montana Mountain Retreat this summer. The kitchen is totally remarkable; one of the best you can find to rent for a large group. It made meal preparations easy; it has loads of cupboards, a large double opening fridge, excellent grilling station, and ample eating area. You can tell the pride that the owners have in preparing this home for guests. It is truly a get-a-way place. Everything was well stocked with lots of thoughtful supplies added in. The spices on hand were amazing! We had fantastic evening conversations and appetizers around the fire pit on the large open, wrap-around deck. Later we’d move inside to the upstairs living area for games and conversations near the indoor giant fireplace. An additional bedroom and bath are on the lower level along with a games area, and a supplement kitchen. Great bedrooms with high ceilings and well-furnished. The laundry room is second to none, which makes it easy to stay a full week and have a fresh supply of clean clothing, towels, and bedding. The bathrooms are luxurious. The upstairs common area also has a standalone sink and counter for quick wash-ups. The family we rented from started began construction on this dwelling in 2008. I like they deserve their claim to fame: “BEST IN THE NORTHWEST”. It is truly a great place to unwind and enjoy the forest scenery. At times during the day we didn’t even have Wi-Fi reception, which was a blessing. One recommendation: read up before hand on what to do if you encounter a mountain lion while hiking. Stay in groups when in the forest. I highly recommend this place."
