"First time visit. The Monterey shell smelled and tasted rancid. Salsa more like ketchup. Nice place but might need a different cook?"

"This evening, 3/16, we ordered a steak GuanaJuanta Quesadilla with no onions and sour cream, the #3, and a quart of salsa and two bags of chips to go. The Quesadilla came smothered in a very salty cheese sauce with no sour cream in sight. We asked for no onions, and Rio still gave us onions in a takeout cup. The #3 was made with ground beef with absolutely no flavor. The salsa that came in small cups was spicy hot. We did not open the quart of salsa, being the appetizer sized cups were spicy hot. We called the manager and asked if we could bring the salsa back because the little cups were so hot. The manager says that is their everyday salsa they serve on tables. We've eaten at the Rio several times before, and the salsa was the best we had in the area. Each time we eat at Rio, we always get a quart of salsa to go. The manager says he can not take the salsa back. The manager did nothing, absolutely nothing, to resolve the dispute. We found Rio several years ago, and we rated their food and service excellent. Can't say the same for this evening. It is not the same restaurant experience we had in the past, and with the food issues and the manager unwilling to resolve the dispute, it is most likely the last time we'll give our business to this restaurant."

"Ordered the Monday enchilada special. We got the beef and the chicken. Both were delicious! Chips and salsa were so good! Great service! Wonderful atmosphere."

"I never knew they were here. Everything is super good and the service is extremely good. We had a party of 17 or so and no one went with out anything. The orders were exact and placed in front of whoever ordered it without any mishaps. Very well done.... Oh, the food is really good also. Needless to say.... I'm going back..."

"Just moved to town, looking for good Mexican food. Found this place on Google maps, photos looked good so I decided to drop in with a friend. Nacho was our server, he was quick to get her drinks and orders. Food came out real fast, the chips were hot and the salsa was the mild kind you can just drink. I ordered the chicken flautas with the flour tortillas, and the al pastor street tacos. The flautas were crispy and juicy, and the al pastor was savory with a little sweet very tender. However, the real surprise was how good all the sides were. These grilled onions were to die for, and I tried my friend Spanish style rice which was really tender. Definitely going to be coming back here every week!"
