"I submitted an online form inquiring about a tattoo with JD. I was contacted later via text by Kendall who stated she was JD's assistant. She told me he had an opening Tuesday the following week. She wanted a $200 deposit from me to schedule a CONSULT without ever having met or spoken to the artist!! I explained I was looking for a consult right now and also sent photos of two existing tattoos JD would have to work around per her request. That was on a Wednesday. Friday I reached back out because I had heard nothing back and wanted to touch base. Again, no response. Monday I sent another message and got a response that her friend committed suicide and she had been out of the office. None of this interaction sits well with me at all. It's unfortunate because looking at his portfolio, JD does beautiful work. Maybe he should think about getting a new assistant."
"JD is the best artist I've had the pleasure of working with. He loves what he does and you can see it in his work. My only regret is that I couldn't pay him more. He's worth every penny and I'll never get a tattoo anywhere else again."
