Housed in a converted 1910 Post Falls home on the National Historic Registry, this establishment offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a spacious, garden-framed deck. The building, originally owned by Samuel and Ann Young, is the oldest standing house in Post Falls and has a rich history in the community. The property has been carefully preserved and restored by various owners over the years, including the Reynolds family and the Latham brothers.
With a dedication to maintaining the historical integrity of the building, the Republic team serves craft foods and local brews in a welcoming environment. "Wife and I just went for restaurant week. I started with the chili and wife got the deviled eggs, both were ok, nothing special. For entrees I got the Republic burger which imo was very subpar, not difficult to find a better burger for half the price elsewhere. Wife got the Korean style chicken sandwich which was excellent. Fries for both were stale. Desert was peach cobbler which again underwhelming, peaches from a can. Portion size was fair, we both left full with leftovers, 3 course meal for $35 a person during restaurant week so not a bad deal considering their normal menu prices. But to be honest I wont be returning, food is not worth the price they are asking in their regular menu. Service was fast and friendly. Local beers on tap."

"Recently been frequenting restaurants in the Post Falls/CDA area and have tasted some good food, but WOW. This little place after a couple visits has been established in my regard as the BEST restaurant in the area HANDS DOWN. The atmosphere is warm, cozy and inviting, with staff that are friendly, attentive and professional! The prices are competitive, and the food is OUTSTANDING! The dishes I have had the pleasure of eating during my visits there have included complex ingredient combinations, cooked to perfection. Their cauliflower tacos are a delicacy, and their Jalapeno popper burger is my new favorite sandwich! Their fry sauce was excellent, but you didn't even need it because both the sides of fries and sweet potatoes were so delicious on their own! I WILL be coming back. OFTEN."
