About the Business
Apple Park, located at 106 Webb Street in Duenweg, Missouri, is a beautiful park with a rich history. The park is situated on the site where the Apple Family's home and the old water tower once stood, at the southeast corner of Irwin and Sterling. The park was made possible through donations by the descendants of W.A. (Al) and Nellie Apple, who operated the waterworks for the citizens of Duenweg until 1956. Apple Park is dedicated to their memory and serves as a place for the community to come together and enjoy the outdoors.
In addition to Apple Park, Bartley Park is another lovely location in Duenweg with a historical significance. The park is located where the Bartley family homestead once stood, behind the parking lot at 8084 E 7th Street. The Bartley family played a key role in the development of Duenweg, establishing mines and a blacksmith shop that helped the town grow into what it is today. Bartley Park is a peaceful spot where visitors can relax and reflect on the history of the area. Both Apple Park and Bartley Park are important landmarks in Duenweg, honoring the families who contributed so much to the community.
Reviews
"Bathroom was locked and water fountain out of service. There is some shade for a picnic and a few things for the kids to play on. Very small."
"A nice quiet little Park. Plan a birthday party for my niece and everybody have a good time!"
"Apple park is well kept, the town is very proud of it. I am very proud to be a part of it's history. The rock water tower stands in memoriam of the original Apple family water tower, that served the town until 1956. Large boulders adorn the park that were pulled right from the dirt near where the park sits. If you dig down deep enough, you'll find my name carved into the cement securing the swings to the ground."
"Has everything you need to host a family picnic. Also has a horseshoe pit to keep the adults entertained."
"The bathroom and trash cans are very gross but the kids loved playing there!! Great place for a birthday party!"
