4 A's Meat Processing

"I've been doing farm raised beef for at least ten years and I've used a couple processors during that span. 4As has potential but the management and customer service is horrendous. The first time I took them beef they cut all my steaks barely 1/2" thick when I specified 1 inch on steaks and 2 inches on filet mignons. My brisket fat was also trimmed off, nearly gone. After the thin steak incident I decided to give them another chance with two fat Angus steers about a year later. I called on October 12th and booked an appointment for Jan 6th (call logs, texts and phone calendar to prove it). When I showed up with my steers today after making a 40 minute drive 4As had not written down my appointment back in October and kind of acted like it was my fault and they weren't too interested in any real remedy. Said they couldn't take my animals and their 'Hands are tied'. I went to the truck and called Clouds Meat Processing in Carthage Mo where I was greeted with professionalism and real customer service. Something 4As should take a lesson in or they won't be in business long. I have taken my last animal to 4As. Never again."

"Very clean facility. Friendly professional staff. Fast processing. The meat was vacuum packed. They also have the meat bagged in heavy duty bags when you pick it up and sorted by ground beef versus other cuts. We dropped off three small steers and were happy with the amount of meat we received back. They utilized the entire steer and did not waste any meat. We have used many processors in the area and this is by far the cleanest out of the other three we have used. We will use 4a’s again not just for the cleanliness but we received great service and a very fair price. They are a little hard to find if you don’t have GPS but that is the only negative thing I can say about them."

"wouldn't recommend taking anything to this place. got breakfast sausage with deer order and you can't tell which is burger or sausage..and I'm not sure but if it's not a little ripe ..it's all so far has a stench to it...but no one has gotten sick ...YET...and I hope not...cooked the back strap tonight and o swear it looked like a 2 year old hacked it up .didn't look like they new how to separate the cuts. Horrible horrible job..water of money and animal if anyone drops off there ."

"Extremely dissatisfied! Did not receive all the meat from the deer taken there. Out of a very large doe I got back 12 lbs of ground venison and 10 lbs summer sauage, and a few loin steaks. Not even close to the amount should have recieved back. Have been hunting and have had deer processed for over 25 years and this is the worst place ever experienced. Called them and all they said was "sorry". Couldn't explain the meat loss. Should have offered to refund half of the cost but that didnt happen. Will never go there again"

"Very dissatisfied. Took 4 steer's on a Sunday night so they could start on them first thing Monday morning. My Dad went up to tell them how he wanted his cut at 10:30 that morning and 3 of them were still standing in pens. They didn't know which steer went to who and I had called a few days before and told them. Said they must have lost paper they wrote it down on. Got our meat back and nobody got stew meat, nobody got liver that asked for it. One person got 2 1/2lb package of hamburger that asked for 1lb. I can understand a mistake but the same one on everyone. Seems like the last few times I have used them meat is wrong or missing stuff you ask for. They never do nothing about it other than sorry. Well after I have spent the money and time feeding them out I want it done correctly. Sorry is only good for so long."
