"They are the residential real estate equivalent of an ambulance chaser law firm. They will be glad to take your information and only handle slam dunk overchaged real estate tax cases and take half your money. In a slam dunk case you could easily fill out the paperwork yourself and keep the whole thing. In addition, their customer service is terrible. After giving your real estate tax information, they will not call you back at all or let you know where you stand in your case. They just let it go, and you will not see any change to your real estate taxes, or get any feedback from them. I am confident had I filled out the paperwork myself, I would have gotten money back on my overvalued house. PAR residential did not even attempt to contend the taxes as they probably had higher dollar cases of which to take advantage. This company is set up to take advantage of mispriced real estate homes by the government, and collect thousands of dollars just filling out some paperwork. Do yourself a favor and fill out the paperwork on your own. UPDATE IN NOTE TO YOUR RESPONSE: I find it a bit coincidental that a blanket "newsletter" touching on the subject of late 2021 tax appeals happens to go out the same day after I wrote this review. For the record, we have not had any direct communication from PAR since Nov 19th, 2021 (in an email) and the only reason we received that update is because we had to reach out to ask what was going on since we had not heard anything. We asked to be updated moving forward, and were never sent an update, and it has almost been a year since our last contact. So yes, I can confidently say that PAR does not communicate what is going on with our tax assessment. An apology and statement about how you may change you communication structure moving forward might be a better retort to a negative review, instead of rushing out a "newsletter" a year later and suggesting that you do communicate. In addition, I do not deem it appropriate to post the $ value of my home on an open Google review. That is not very professional. Now that I know our tax appeal is still in some sort of a que for over a year, I am holding a glimpse of hope that PAR can actually still get something done about it. If we find that we get any kind of change to our tax assessment, as well as any future updates, I will gladly take down this review or change it into something better."

"PAR Residential handled two separate property tax appeals for me. The first one they handled fairly efficiently, however the appraisal was not lowered enough in my opinion. The second appeal was handled very poorly. The whole process was lacking in communication. Phone calls were not returned, emails were not returned, and communication within the company seemed to be disjointed and incomplete. I ended up asking a friend who works for St Louis County Assessors office about their services, and he indicated that PAR does not do nearly as well as a well-informed individual does at lowering their property taxes. He did not have a very high opinion of PAR Residential, and after my property tax appeal process, neither do I."
