The Franklin County Historical institution, located at 300 East Locust Street in Union, Missouri, is dedicated to preserving the local history of Franklin County. They are actively seeking volunteers to assist at the museum and are looking for new Society members. Monthly meetings are held on the third Sunday of each month at 2pm, with new speakers lined up to start around 2:30pm. The institution hosts an annual history fair in October with over 20 vendors sharing knowledge and showcasing antique fire trucks. They are currently fundraising for their Saving Our Roots campaign to secure the building as their forever home. The society is about preserving history of the county . The museum has furniture, vintage clothing , a Doctor's buggy made in Union, Indian artifacts' ,Family and historical pictures of counties in Franklin County. The genealogy and history library is growing. The volunteers can help with research . Everyone who visits has great comments..
