"Attorney Nick Marshall is very good in the paperwork filing and he knows the book knowledge of law but in my opinion if he had a paralegal he would be more successful, and less stressed. I'm a military combat disabled veteran, I used my military compensation money that I was awarded to hire an attorney to end my 10 years in the making divorce that I have not been able to get due to lack of finances. The consultation went very well, he assured me he would go after what I was asking for and that it was all very reasonable. Once we got to the first court date, he talked to my ex for 30 minutes instead of the allowed 5 by the judge and refused to disclose what was discussed. He then proposed an extraordinary excess of time for my ex to respond ( she was already in default for not responding) and stall my case each time information was needed from her for almost 6 months and this was done without consulting with me at all. I felt Mr. Marshall from that point on displayed personal feelings and opinions on my case that interfered with his ability to separate from it on an emotional side. I was left waiting in his office when he shows up late for scheduled meetings. Once he never showed at all. He told me it wouldn't cost more than 3,000 for the case and when I had to fire him for misrepresentation I asked for a ledger of what was paid and what I should get back since the case is still on going and only paperwork has been filed at this point he sent me a bill showing his service was over 8,000 dollars!!! I feel that he ended up showing more signs that he was representing her not me. He is wanting me to pay for the extra time he gives the responding party, and at the end of the day I'm left with a huge bill with nothing completed. Full disclosure, do you're homework, ask to record your consultation so you have proof of what you've agreed on. One of the lines I heard from him often, is can you prove it?...make sure you can."
