Cedarwood Apartments

"If I could give negative stars I would. Before moving in I had to have a group of people help me clean for 5 hours so the apartment was even useable. The person before had a large dog that obviously peed everywhere, every drawer was dirty, picked up nails and screws all over. I could tell the lady that gave me the keys was embarrassed and said sorry. My daughter started school the next week so I had no other option at that moment. The shower was broken. A window was falling off of the building in winter. Had multiple leaks in the bathtub 1 bringing my bill up x3, dishwasher broke the second month which was fine because it made the dishes smell bad anyways. The apartments themselves are trashy (literally) multiple complaints from the city. They’ve had meetings at city hall about the trash overflowing and people using the place as a dump stop. The decks don’t feel or look safe (I had friends that wouldn’t step foot on the deck) Oh and the garbage man shows up around 2am so hopefully you don’t work nights. Had my neighbor flash a weapon at me because I asked him to turn his music down. You’d think we were in north east or something but no. “Mind you, I’m a single mother.” I paid rent ahead of time! I have perfect renters history. I left the apartment nicer then I found it and they wanted to charge me far to much at move out! One charge was to clean the carpet that should have been replaced before I moved in. Another charge is for prorated rent because my lease ended on a Friday and when I drove the key to the office they were closed and had no drop box so I had to wait till Monday to drive another 30 minutes to drop it off. And I guess since they didn’t do their job it costs me another $55. Oh and nobody did a move out walk through. Lol No one even contacted me. Management is horrible! obviously have a high turn over because someone’s always new… Unless this is your last option like it was mine because we moved from a different state because I was hit by a car so needed to be closer to family, & needed my daughter to go to a good school, find something else."
