"This facility brought me back to life, and I appreciate everything. Everyone did the staff, the kitchen crew the front desk. The management were all top-notch."
"Recovery Village saved my life. It's an absolutely unbelievable facility. The entire staff is remarkable...if you are serious about getting better and treating your disease you will get as much out of it as you put in. The support was amazing and provided me with all the tools needed to completely rebuild myself."
"Recovery Village is a fantastic newly updated facility with a caring, knowledgeable, and very supportive staff. Great group therapy as well as client tailored one on one sessions with some of the best therapists I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Excellent room accommodations, great food, and overall positive environment for those individuals who are willing to put forth the effort to the recovery process. Highly recommended for anyone struggling with addiction as well as amazing help with personal growth and development."
"I will preface this by saying that I know detox/rehab isn't going to be a walk in the park. However, there are some things that I find very concerning about this facility. I just picked my wife up after a day and half, 2-night stay for alcohol detox and thankfully I did since they wanted to keep her longer. The check-in a couple nights ago was warm and welcoming, which made me feel good once I left. That is pretty much where it ends. She just told me she was subject to a strip search. Now, this is a woman who had breast cancer a year and a half ago and had a double mastectomy, which they were aware of. After coming to tears and saying she was going to have me come back and get her, they let her keep her bra on. She only wears the bra to try to make herself feel like a woman. I understand the premise of a strip search but seriously, pick your battles and use common sense. She was not there for drugs, nor had a history, and possibly would be "hiding" them. Anyone who knows someone, or who has gone through breast cancer themselves, understands the self-esteem issues that come up. This was totally uncalled for in my opinion. My next biggest concern is the horrible lack of communication I was subject to. I dropped my wife off late Tuesday night, so I figured I would let her get settled in overnight and wait until the morning to check in to see how she was doing. I first called after 8am, then made a handful of calls throughout the day and into the evening, hoping to get an update. Every call I made went to voicemail with not one return call until this morning around 9am. The only feedback I received yesterday was after lunchtime from the business director Glenda, who met briefly with my wife and actually was wonderful to work with. She unfortunately was awoken late last night by the corporate call center, who was my final resort to try to get ahold of somebody. She was able to finally get ahold of the charge nurse late at night who finally called me at 1 a.m. this morning. It was then that the charge nurse told me the patients have access to a phone to call out on since it is policy to take cell phones while in detox, which I understand. However, according to my wife, that was the only phone and took multiple tries to call out and had a bad connection each time. There were other things that made it seem like it was being run like a minimum-security prison, which I personally do not have experience with. However, they are dealing with vulnerable people, who the last thing they need is increased anxiety, especially since their minds and nerves are already dealing with the effects detox/rehab. Now, I won't sit here a say "don't come here". However, if you are leaving your loved one here, do your due diligence and make sure before you leave the line(s) of communication are established and read and understand all signed documents on behalf of your loved one before you leave (remember the strip search). This may be a relatively shiny new facility, but they have long ways to go when it comes to policies, procedures and communication. Being corporate owned, one would think all of this would have been established before opening the middle of last year."
"I had the pleasure of being a part of the grand opening of this amazing facility for people struggling with addiction and mental health issues. I met many of the wonderful staff, but wanted to give a special thanks to Executive Director, Lisa St. Auburn, for giving us a tour of this beautiful facility."
