"My family member was not taken care of well by this facility. They were degrading, unprofessional, and unfair in how they proceeded. People of color should not go here. Someone should investigate them."

"My son was sent here because he was having a hard time dealing with being homeless and struggling with mental health. He would call me and he was so drugged up by Liberty Signature that he couldn’t comprehend or communicate very well, he had a slurred speech and couldn’t repeat back or write down his grandfathers phone number accurately. He said they were giving him Benadryl and shooting him up with something that makes him calm down, he was concerned his clothes were stolen at that point as well. I was concerned and asked him if I could try to talk to a nurse and he said yes, I told him he may have to sign something that gives me permission since he’s 19. He said ok. I tried to speak with someone but they wouldn’t speak with me because I didn’t have a code, I tried to explain the situation and they said they would talk to him. The next day my son called me, still very drugged and slurred and I asked him for a code, he said what code, I tried to explain, he hung up to talk to someone there. I called again to speak with someone and they never called me back. All this place did was drug my son up and then dump him at a “day camp” for the homeless that kick them out at night. He ended up checking into another hospital that night because he was still unstable and unsure of where to go. This hospital only cares about the money they receive from admitting clients and then drugging them up so much that they won’t be a problem for a week and putting them on the street for someone else to worry about it because they don’t."

"This is the WORST mental hospital I’ve ever seen! I’ve been in inpatient hospitals as a teen and as an adult and never have I had an experience this awful. They didn’t have food for me for the day I was there (before I left AMA) because nobody had me on record. I had to leave without my phone and wallet, going an entire weekend without those things, because my items were “locked in a safe they didn’t have a key to” only for it to have been in the med room the entire time. They told me to come back Saturday for my items, so I did and waited god knows how long before I was told to come back Monday. I sat in the waiting room for over an hour Monday only to be told that it was simply placed in the wrong room. The staff was too busy arguing with each other to pay good attention to the patients and I would stand at the desk awkwardly for minutes just waiting to be noticed or acknowledged. If I went up to the desk more than once, I was made to feel like I was breaking a rule or something and I was met with attitude at every opportunity. The curtain on our bathroom was hanging off and, if I wanted to go to the bathroom, the room to the door would need to be shut or you could see me. The room smelled like straight up sewage and we slept on mats like the ones in school gyms sat on what was essentially a wooden box. When I told my psychiatrist in the hospital that my stay was making me worse, his answer was “nobody likes it. It’s the psych ward. What’s worse, being here or overdosing?” Michelle was the only good staff member who made me feel like she cared. I felt like less of a person coming out than I did going in, which says a lot because I came there from the ICU. It was awful. Please go to Research or Strawberry Hill. At least those places will treat you as human. Also, two girls I was with had diabetes, and one girl’s blood sugar got into the 410s because she was not given the proper care."

"do not come here if you actually need help, it only makes it worse. avoid at all costs. i was just there for a week for my depression and all it did was make it worse. they try to give you meds you dont need, dont care if you’re having a medical emergency, mismanage your case, and so much more. the social worker i had didnt even tell me about my family meeting, nor meet with me the entire week i was there until my family meeting. extremely unprofessional and a joke of a psychiatric hospital. go to strawberry hill instead. update: they did not send in any of the medication i was prescribed during my time there, even after i made them aware."
