"I would not recommend this place for anyone who is looking for any kind of health care at all ...the nurses are not helpful I have been hung up on and Laughed at ..... I have been in a lot of pain for sometime now ... dr cooper was “helping” me figure out the problem and once we did I got no more assistance from there office at all .... I needed a referral for another dr and I was told that it was sent to one place by dr cooper and it wasn’t sent ... I was suppose to have meds call in and didn’t .... u can’t ever talk to anyone they just send u a voice mail to leave a message witch your lucky to get a call back !! I have moved on and I would advise anyone to do the same"

"After more than a decade with Dr. Barth we were very concerned about the care we would receive with a new Dr. The Kearney Clinic did not create a smooth transition of Dr. Barth's patients to other Dr's at the Kearney Facility. Very thankful we found Dr. Cooper and after 3 visits am very impressed with his "bed side manner" as well as the entire staff in Excelsior Springs. Dr. Cooper is very knowledgeable and very caring in your overall well being. We highly recommend Dr. Cooper and Exc Clinic. Totally worth the drive!"

"bringing my mother here and not at all happy , she loves the doctor but we hate the follow thru and I question the competency of the nurse who reads the lab results as it is very clear she has no idea how to read the results and interpret bad good or critical results as well as report them to anyone as they sit unattended and not reported for 9 days. The level of education from some of the nursing staff of his I have some concerns that they are not up to standards, there are no concerns where there should be and they lack the customer service skills as well as normal human compassion and empathy for others . compassion that is required in nursing.does not exist with his nursing staff that we have dealt with. I am a nurse with 37 years under my belt so I do expect a nurse to be a nurse and be professional and not brush a patient off and act as if there is no need for concern when there certainly is. I had heard horrible things about this office but did my homework on Dr Cooper and his background and license etc.... before ever making the decision to go there , its sad that such a great caring doctor has such a lack of caring staff that may cost him this patient and many more. the only person I have gotten to listen to us is Jennifer the coordinator and I had to ask for her. This office certainly needs a overhaul on attitude , compassion, lack of empathy and customer service and I pray the next patient that comes i and gets treatment does not go thru what we went thru because it is not acceptable ever."

"I do not have space for the reasons I am unhappy with him and his staff. But will try. First seen him back last fall and it was on a Tuesday he ran blood work and told me to call back Wednesday to get the results, well turns out Wednesday it is his day off. And they could not tell me nothing .I said why then did he tell me to call back Wednesday? The staff member (Kathy) was very rude. Then Thursday 3/31/16 my wife made me a appointment to go see him , she made it real early in the morning. It was at 2:30pm I was asked after a minute or two after I sat down if I had a appointment by the desk lady. the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing there I think. Dr.cooper even went as far as to call my wife a worry wart when he seen her.So she probably will not being going back. There was no call for that she was seeing her own doctor and I talked her into seeing him because she was having issues. Real ones. They also messed up her billing up on her insurance. There is so much more to tell. I asked him if he thought my wife was a worry wart ? Then asked about me then? Because I been through a lot .. . This really bugs me we had nothing but trouble with his office and gave them lots of chances. He did say my wife should have spoke up when he called her a worry wart. But he told me to tell her he was sorry, after I think about it that is his job to apologize. But then she still probably will not trust him cause every little thing she would go in for he would think she was blowing it way out. like I wrote the first time I seen him he ran blood test told me call back the next day which happen to be his day off. The staff is rude.Well one is. They messed up my wife's insurance.They asked me if I had a appointment Thursday 3/31/16 after my wife made it way early that morning. I heard say something way low to the front desk person as he walk out of his office passed her. I know it was about my appointment. But have to give him this he did fit me in. But it was a quick look see He said I had strep throat, I thought I just had allergies. I mean it was quick. No swab of throat for strep if they do anymore. He just it was real red , I had junk running from my sinuses all night like water down in throat all night. Headache, ears clogged, eyes hurt . lots of pressure."
