"Original Review The salesman (Lucas) was new but did a great job from start to finish, so this review is in no way a reflection of him. We were looking for a new work truck and decided to look at some of the dealerships in town. We went to Corwin Ford of Springfield where we were met by our salesman. He looked through the inventory there as well as all of the other Corwin dealerships to see if what we were looking for (which was pretty specific) was in one of their lots. It turned out they had one at Corwin Ford of Republic. Our salesman said he would head over there right away to show it to us. He said he believed it was a new trade in. After we got there we looked the truck over and went on a test drive. We were very pleased with it. We then went inside to talk numbers. I tried to negotiate with the sales manager Gage and we went back and forth for a bit. He then told me they had had it for a long time and that he was losing a lot of money just to get it moved. I thought, oh the new salesman must have been mistaken when he said it was a new trade in. Also, I didn’t want to beat them down more if they were already taking a loss. After finishing the paperwork, I received the title which said they had received it only around two months prior. It was clear that Gage lied to get the sale. The way he did it and the lack of hesitation makes me think he uses that “trick” (LIE) a lot. It makes me sad. Note: I’m really happy with the salesman, the truck, and the finance manager we got. If it weren’t for Gage this would be a 5 star review. Thanks - Chris Update: The finance manager called me and explained that 2 months is a long time for a vehicle to sit on their lot and so it was more of a miscommunication or misunderstanding of “a long time” I will take him at his word for this. Other than the (Misunderstood) I had a great experience here."
