Taco Zone

"We recently hired Taco Zone in Lawrence to cater our wedding in Topeka. Coco, the catering manager was such a dream to work with. She handled all of the details and helped guide us through the process and helped us make selections that made our special day so amazing. Day of they were amazing and helpful, even making sure the water and tea were refilled, something that was not in their contract. Coco had everything cleaned up and left overs packed up making our lives so much easier. I say all of this to get to the most important part of this review. OUR GUESTS COULD NOT STOP COMMENTING ON HOW DELICIOUS THE FOOD WAS. We had elote dip, and fruit skewers with tajin in addition to a chips and guacamole bar for cocktail hour. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dinner was Chicken Verde Tacos, Conchitas Pibil (pork), and Veggies Verde tacos. We ordered an off menu Mexican rice side which was so delicious. The micro green and Kale salad was delicious too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 would recommend. Great communication and even better follow thru! "Food was decent but I was expecting better. From what I can tell the prices seem to have gone up within the past half year so it has become highly overpriced for what you get and for the quality of food. For three people, we spent around $37 for 2 rather plain burritos, three basic tacos with one simple filling each and two drinks, along with a small little tray of plain chips and guacamole that was an outrageous $6 (it was practically a dollar per chip). Good to try once, but I probably won’t be going back. I will, however, compliment the service as they were nice, helpful and the food did come out quickly."

"Small little restaurant with some indoor dining and more outdoor sidewalk and tent seating. Within walking distance from concert venues on Mass St. The tacos are small but mighty! Selection of fillings changes regularly, with vegan/vegetarian options, and everything we tried had great flavor. Also enjoyed a refreshing agua fresca. The shop had a steady stream of customers right up until closing, but many of those orders were for take-out, so it was still easy to grab a seat."

"Recently visited my parents in Lawrence (from Texas) and I have to say these are the best street tacos I've had in a long time! Prices are great, the flavor, presentation and portions are perfect. Highly recommend the margaritas, both regular and prickly pear. Don't be deceived by the cup size, they pack a good punch! Can't wait to go back every time I visit. Locals are super lucky to have this place! So glad they sell their hot sauce, I got a bottle to take home with me!!"
