The building that now houses Common Grounds sat empty for years until Michele saw its potential as a community coffee shop. After a year of hard work and renovation, Common Grounds opened its doors along historic Route 66.

"An adorable coffee shop with wonderful staff, delicious food and coffee. We popped in here on our way back to St. Louis and and we’re so glad we did. The owner and her staff were very welcoming and friendly. The farmall breakfast sandwich was delicious, a generous size and reasonably priced. We order the Pumpkin Latte and it was delicious. They also had some really good looking pastries and plenty of non dairy milk options. If you’re passing thru, help support local businesses and give this place a try."
"Very good experience here at Common Grounds. Workers always nice no matter what. All the menu items are delicious. Great place for breakfast in Strafford! Some of the best food I’ve ever had in my entire life. Would recommend if stopping in the this wonderful town! Edit: The banana nut bread pairs very well with the hot Carmel latte! And today I can right as it closed and the person working their came out and still let me get an ice water! It really made my day."
