"I had very bad experience with this doctor, I was trying to get birth control and she placed my birth control IUD device very wrongly, that was very rough , This is my second time before it I got my birth control iud from Vicksburg with an other doctor but I’ve moved here in mccomb! Doctor sumrall placed my birth control device like it was her first time!! At one point I was thinking is she really a doctor?!! For one week I was bleeding and when went to find out what is reason of so Mach pain and bleeding! It was infection which I got from that IUD !! I am still trying to find a good gynecologist because this problem is not solved yet! I am still having pain and I am having bleeding 3 to 4 times in a month :("

"I had the worst experience of my life with this doctor who refused to allow my attempt for a natural birth due to a prior scheduled C Section I had over a decade ago. She was repeatedly rude and condescending when I refused to undergo the surgery she scheduled for me despite my wishes to deliver naturally or at least attempt a normal labor. Since I had a "history of big babies" and had a previous surgery, she was not willing to even allow labor to progress and advised me she would do an emergency surgery if I arrived at the hospital in labor (even though this is illegal). My pregnancy was normal, healthy, and this was my smallest baby of four. I was coerced, led to believe I was endangering my baby's life, and it was all because she had "been sued before". It's all about the money here, ladies and families. If you desire anything outside a "cookie cutter" experience entirely at this doctor's discretion, then this is not the place for you. I was bullied, threatened, scoffed at, and ignored by this female doctor I was once happy to find simply for her own best interests. Sadly, her best interests have nothing to do with her patients' best interests nor desires nor concerns! Upon my last visit 5 days past my due date, I was told that my baby's cord was around her neck and I needed an emergency surgery THAT day or the next. The only time Dr. Sumrall ever included my baby's father in conversation during our check-ups was the one day she attempted to coerce us more by asking him if he was ok with allowing me to go ahead with the pregnancy and "endangering the baby". A social worker from the hospital even called to instill more fear and alarm when they were informed that I "required" surgery and did not consent. My pregnancy continued another EIGHT days unmonitored due to fear of forced intervention, and I delivered a healthy 8 lb 5 oz girl in Jackson at UMMC with every wish met by doctors who had never even met me before. She was 13 days post date, had no cord anywhere near her neck, and was perfectly healthy in every way! Although the risks of a repeat elective C Section FAR outweigh the risks of a VBAC, this clinic and doctor prefer to schedule a 30-minute delivery than to wait the hours for a normal one to progress with less than a .5% chance of an emergency arising. Let's tell these doctors our health is OUR decision and we won't stand for their scare tactics and threats! *Choose wisely and learn your rights and delivery options, there are MANY you will not be informed of!"
