"Hands down the worst apartment complex I have ever been in, it’s not even close. My water heater had a leak at least 3 separate times now causing damage and mold everywhere. The grounds are never kept up and there’s trash and broken glass outside all the time. I was told a renewal price over the phone and then when I went to sign a couple of weeks later, it was about $100 higher. They wouldn’t budge and went back on their word because it was verbal, not written. Rent keeps going up but the building quality keeps going down. They know units will stay filled because it is a college town so they have no incentive to change. Absolutely atrocious units with even worse management. Do not rent here. I repeat: Do. Not. Rent. Here."
"The Greens and the Links: Pros • Close to campus • Bus stops available for transportation to campus and the city • Online portal for payments and maintenance requests • Basic golf course available for use • Washer and dryer included Cons • Persistent crime issues with police patrolling; incidents of random gunfire, robberies, and violence have been an issue • Poor management with rude staff; tenant concerns are secondary to profit - no help when it’s needed most • Annual rent increases without improvements in quality; no longer a reasonably priced option for families and single professionals • No utilities included and poor internet coverage; refused to cover cost for fiber internet to correct this issue when asked by the city • Problems with electrical systems and building foundations; constant box tripping and plugs not working properly • Pest infestations due to inadequate spraying • Dogs of all sizes roam unleashed with widespread poop on grounds and sidewalks • Excessive trash and overall unclean conditions •Thin walls and windows resulting in a lack of noise insulation which makes studying and working difficult • High incidence of package theft from residents’ doors • Strong “drug” scent throughout most days In light of these issues, be aware of what to expect. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend either location, as it’s a classic case of getting what you pay for."
"there is several reasons why i would HIGHLY not recommend moving to the links. starting off w the fact their plumbing system was ALWAYS backed up. either my shower or my toliet was messed up. at one point our air was messed up. our sinks and our dishwasher was all messed up. we signed a year lease. give or take it was a AMAZING place at first. we informed them we had a speacial needs child before we moved there who did indeed like to run and stomp. they placed us on the top floor. keep in mind AFTER we told them everything and asked for a downstairs apartment. they told us at the front then and there they will “handle” it. we lived there almost all our year lease would reach until 3 months before it was expired. we had the director knock on our door and tell us OUR special need child was too loud because they had someone move into the place below us. we took this the respectful way and went to the office asking for a downstairs apartment. she then informed us (the director). they couldn’t do nothing until september a month after our lease was up. so we then left and went home. later on the man moved in. he started causing issues. i’m 16 and he stopped me on the stairwell and started arguing with me. a few weeks later we woke up to the cops knocking on the door after being threatened to be evicted. the cops informed us that we got a noise complaint and bottle had been thrown and we told them it was our fault and we picked it up. everything was handled. we then went to the office because this man videoed our 7 yr old autistic lil boy. the office said that he did nothing wrong and then proceeded to kick us out the office. we found a place started moving and cops showed up again after we tried to knock on his door to simply talk to him. office yet again did nothing. we have went to get our stuff on a few occasions and this man has stared at us and slammed his door. keep in mind that the whole time this is going on there is collage kids making noise banging on walls and everything next to us. nothing is done nor said to them. and office tells us that it is none of our business. this man is in and out and the director tells us her attention isn’t to us it’s to other people. long story short if u have kids in general or special needs children save urself the trouble and DO NOT move here. they discriminate and are cocky and look down upon everyone else! also their maintenance men have backed me (16) and my mother into our rooms on several occasions."
"I had a one year lease at Links at Oxford, owned by Lindsey Mgmt. During my 10th month I had a chance in circumstance, I could have stayed til the end of my lease and I went to the local Links management office and said I wanted to know how I may be able to leave early on good standing. I was told I could pay one month's rent, hand over the keys, and leave on good standing. I was billed two months rent plus the many miscellaneous fees they require upon move-out. I found it quite unfair that what I was told verbally was not honored. I would not lease from Lindsey Mgmt again and I advise not to trust anything that anyone of this company says to you and advise to read your lease very well as they will charge you everything they possibly can - being a promptly paying responsible tenant means nothing to them if they can charge you any amount they give themselves the right to charge you per the written lease. They most certainly will, anything verbal will mean nothing, per my experience."
"“We asked several times what needs to be done to move out starting weeks ago and nobody ever mentioned the 30 days notice you have to give or they take your $600 deposit. But they did call to confirm that we were leaving days ahead of our lease termination and to tell us we didn't give the notice and would not receive the deposit back. Thanks for the call after the fact! We also had a 6 month lease we paid extra for every month.” Basically, I just copied a review from 5 years ago because exactly the same thing happened to me. I delivered the apartment impeccable and they did not return me the 600$ that I paid as a deposit under the argument that I didn’t told them the 30 days notice and I asked several times to the unprepayable lady’s of the office what needed to be done and none of this was warned to me. They simply warned me about this 30 days notice with 29 days left before my lease expires. I don't recommend this garbage place in any way."
