"The store was very clean and the isles well stocked. The overall atmosphere was relaxing with a good amount of hometown feel. The products they had seemed to be good quality and had a bit more selection than I was expecting. The staff was friendly and they even had someone bagging groceries. The lost star is price related. Some items were only a bit higher than larger stores, which is expected and understandable. They don’t have the buying power of the large chains and you pay more for a more pleasant experience. The ground beef was actually a good price. I bought some but haven’t cooked it yet, so can’t compare quality. Some of the items I looked at, however, were really high. Tuna in all its forms was really high. I may be crazy, but I think they had raw tuna at 22 per pound! They had a smoked tuna dip for something like $9 and I’m fairly sure the portion size could be consumed in three bites. The sushi also hit $14 a container (see pictures). Still glad to have them in the area and will use for smaller trips, but not the big weekly run."
